We find that many home owners are adding the footprint of their homes by adding or extending their decks. Deck make a great place to entertain, as well as “get away”. Recently, we built a deck for a couple in Rhode Island that included a hot tub. We also extended to the yard by building a fire pit with a crushed stone field. This was a great way to capture the unused yard space and it also created a sense of adventure, because the pit is adjacent to the wood-line. They went from a 1200 sq house the over 4200 sq of leisure and recreational area. The entire project cost about the same as a vacation for 4 in Disney. Now they have this beautiful backyard retreat to enjoy for years to come. Let me hear of your backyard experiences.
